Already being a huge fan of the Tea Tree range of products from The Body Shop, I was excited to receive a little bundle of joy containing three of the new Tea Tree Flawless BB Creams to review. Mainly because I could quote a Beyoncé song in my post title… but also because I have had awful luck with all these BB/CC/FF etc creams and think they’re a bit of a gimmick so I was hoping for more from this product.
The Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream claims to ‘perfect your complexion and fight the look of blemishes ‘ and give a shine-free complexion with natural coverage. As with all the TT range it’s formulated with Fair Trade organic tea tree oil from Kenya, which is a natural antiseptic and should help soothe and heal blemishes. Something that is definitely welcome in a product you slather on your face!
Now being someone who could rival Casper the Ghost’s paleness on a good day, the medium (02) and dark (03) shades literally made me look like Donatella Versace, so unfortunately I won’t be using those little guys. Unless I hit the sun-beds. Hard. However… the palest shade (01) is PERFECT.
The formula is very light-weight, and I blended it on using my fingers pretty easily. You don’t need a lot to cover your whole face as it blends in pretty easily on skin. I was impressed how such a little amount of product evened out my skin tone! As with most BB creams, it doesn’t provide massive coverage but at the same time that’s why I love it.
Perfect for sunny days when you don’t feel like sitting down to slap on your face… just pop a bit of this on your face and you’ll immediately look brighter and fresher. Plus it smells amazing and tingles on any blemishes in the best way, so that you don’t feel like you are clogging your skin but are actually helping it … It’s also pretty nifty as a concealer under other foundations as it reduces redness and gives a matte effect.
All in all a little gem of a product and I’ll definitely be stocking up on more when I run out! You can pick up a little tube of tea tree happiness in your local TBS for €13.50! Have you tried any of this range from The Body Shop? Are you a fan or naah?
