I Need to Take a Step Away in Order to Come Closer!

By Familyfriends @familyfriends_

I need to take a step away in order to come closer!

Me and Linda have during our years together trained our selfs, with the help of the Holy Sprit, to feel when we are disconnected at an early stage. Many times we, or should I say I, think the reason is that we haven’t spent enough time together or that the kids have taken all the energy from us. Sometime we can even blame the work or any other situation that we have drifted apart. But what happens during this times of trial or we can also call them busy times is that it’s not Linda that I am drifting away from, well yes I do but that is just a consequence of something far more important, I am drifting away from GOD. What happens is when I don’t take the right time to be intimate with God the consequence is that my intimacy with Linda is also affected. This mean I need to be apart from Linda in order to devote my self to pray and more time with God, to take a step away from Linda in order to come closer. We need to understand that our intimacy with our spouses is all dependent on how intimate we are with God.

Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. 1 Cor 7:5

For me and Linda this is essential for our marriage, and I am very thankful that today we don’t have to go too far in our separation, the Holy Spirit shows us early in order for us to commit our self in prayers. We do this at home, but we both know that we need to have time apart so we come come closer in our relationship and in our intimacy.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matt 6:33

If we want a marriage, family life, intimacy, etc in abundance we need to know where to start, it start with a true intimacy with the creator of all this things! If you feel disconnected, come together, and agreed that you will devote your self in prayers.
