Last week I got Anthropologie’s spring catalogue and of all things to seek inspiration from, this look book channeled the beauty of Portugal. Recently, I’ve grown homesick, not of New Jersey but of my family, Portugal, waking up to rolling hills of pine trees, and afternoons sitting beneath the vineyards talking of the old country with my grandfather. There’s an unknown enjoyment in letting my natural curls loose, and somehow Portugal is the only place I feel comfortable doing so, which is why these photographs brought back so many wonderful memories. And so the tears surfaced on my eyes and I yearned to be in this beautiful country…I just love the deep ”blue of the azulego” with designs so distinct of traditional Portuguese history just like the patterns, colors and flowiness of fabrics reminiscent of days dancing in pretty lace dresses to the sounds of the accordion…
