Let’s kick off this short holiday week with some pretty things, because I have a feeling that by the end of this week, we’re going to need beautiful things to lift some of our spirits. In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I had to share this beautiful quote, just of one the infinite inspiring words he had for our nation, and world, despite the injustice he and so many others faced years ago. On a real note, it’s quite upsetting knowing it’s 2017 and our country is still divided and experiencing the same injustices and disrespect, from all sides. But I am confident that good will prevail; because the more good, more love, more kindness we put out, despite what others feel, it will eventually make a significant and beneficial impact for our future.
If you’re lucky to have the day off in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, what are your plans for your extra day at home? I’m not technically giving myself the day off, but I will make it a short one so that I can continue tackling some major decluttering. I’m on mission to have my home and work spaces totally organized by the end of the month, free of anything that doesn’t get used or doesn’t fit my style any longer. I want to make room for more artwork and framed family photos that have sadly been put away in albums, and of course lots of lovely glass containers corralling all those items event planners tend to “hoard”…
