It’s been an off week for me, not sure if it’s because it was a short one or that everywhere I looked everything was telling me that summer is over. Or maybe it has just been “one of those days”. Yesterday morning definitely felt like the change of season is upon us, it was slightly cool and rainy, and I couldn’t help but feel sad. Although, I do have to take a moment and recognize that today is the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. It’s still a day that is surreal to me having been closely connected to the day, still not believing it’s been so many years since I was in school crying. Even now, after visiting the new memorial site three times and shared photos from the area, I can’t manage to take or share photos of the memorial waterfall and wall of names. Last year I wrote a few words about how I was feeling, and what this day means to me, you can read it here.
As for this weekend, it will be a nice one, so I’m going to try to enjoy it. I know for sure I’ll be dancing, and that always makes me happy, and so do these images I’m loving…Happy Friday!
New England is just breathtaking during autumn, it was one of my favorite things about living and going to school in Rhode Island. If you’ve never experienced it for yourself, and you can, add one of these beautiful towns to you travel bucket list. I’m hoping I can make it up to Vermont this year with a weekend with J. {top image via Buzzfeed}

It’s my favorite, just look at this stunning home! {image source unknown}I think using natural elements is the best way to create seasonal decor for the home. These candles simply wrapped with fresh sage leaves are just pretty, and would look just as lovely around a vase too. {image via Mod Wedding}With fall and winter, comes dry air in our homes. Nature is so powerful, that there are many household plants that naturally purify the air in your home. {tips via MNN}Hello beautiful figs! Let’s bake you into this delicious cake. {recipe via Lemon Fire Brigade}I’m a big fan of Ellie Goulding, especially when she slows down the tempo of her dance tracks, and I love this collaboration with Major Lazer for working out and when I want to relax with something a bit more up-tempo.
