This week-end was filled with food, sunshine drinks, shopping and lots of love :) ! As we were reunited with my all-time best Parisian friends (we calculated today and deducted we have been friends for over 15years now… waouw :) ), we had to make the most out of it and I had to show them as much as possible of my London  – especially all the good food you have here – because YES YOU DO! I am not saying that the foodie scene is better in London than Paris, but it certainly has some leverage, right?

On Saturday we headed to the 7 Dials Shopping Festival in the area of Covent Garden. Bought stuff we didn’t need but oh well.. 20% off everywhere is enough to justify our spendings, isn’t it? ;)

And as shopping is considered some serious kind of exercise, we headed to Shake Shack on Covent Garden, to fill our stomach with some cheesy fries and soft burgers. Apparently, the original NYC Shake Shack is better than the LDN version…

Have you tried both? If yes, I would be happy to find out from you readers ! :D

Notting hill was the perfect place to be on Sunday. So as we were walking around the area – and we met the cutest mini cooper on the way – we stumbled upon a place I had been dying to go to for ages called Beach Blanket Babylon. As the terrace was surprisingly not fully booked, we jumped on the first table :)

Margaux & Sophie went for a typical English Breakfast while I was feeling the Summer Mood and chose the crispy pepper squids with a pesto sauce. And on top of that we all had a fresh and colourful fruit juice: banana, spinal & honey; pineapple and coconut; and a passion fruit and berries one.

Being myself a massive healthy juices fan, I was surprised by the way these ones were served - chilled with crushed ice and the same feeling as a virgin margarita =)

I absolutely fell in love with these retro-vintage-chic plates and all the gold details in the restaurant. If you haven’t been there yet, this is a really cool place to go at any time of the day: brunch, lunch, dinner or for drinks. During the evening they have a DJ and you can even book the room on the top floor for any special event.

The best way to feel like a Queen receiving hosts in a luxurious salon and serving litters of champagne

:)
After this unexpected discovery, we passed by Portobello road where we all fell for some cute hair accessories from Appletree Boutique, especially Margaux ;)

After this perfect week-end, I had my stomach tied when the time to say good-bye arrived… We never know when we will see each other again, with everyone’s agenda and busy lives, it is always tricky to plan ahead, even though we live so close in the end

:)
If your friends are living abroad, I am sure you will get it. I keep wishing for everyone to live on the same road but well… one day maybe when unicorns will exist ;)

Meanwhile, I hope you all enjoyed the beautiful week-end we had! What were you up to? Looking forward to your comments
