I Have No Idea What I’m Doing With My Life: Discover You!

Posted on the 22 June 2018 by Martins97

If you are one of the many people all over the world who still say: I have no idea what I'm doing with my life, how do i get started when i have no idea what i enjoy?, I have no idea what I am doing with my life and I am totally fine with it- this post is for you. But, if you are among those people who already know what they are doing at all times, feel free to stop reading. You probably have a job, a list of clients waiting for you, a project, and a group of students awaiting your teachings or a solid team awaiting your unfailingly perfect skills.

Although I would love you to stick around because nobody- I mean nobody knows perfectly what they're doing 100% of the time.

The "I have no idea what I'm doing" problem is one of the biggest challenges of almost every human. We all have our fears and if one of them is NOT KNOWING WHAT TO DO WITH ONE'S LIFE, it becomes a bigger problem over time.

It is true that seeing a counsellor could help figure out what you need to do with your life but what if it doesn't? Does that really count? Others seize moment when a motivation speakers pushes the "DISCOVER YOURSELF BUTTON" and the rest just rely on friends, parents, elders, family, or just pray about it and some just-you-know; sit it out!

The earlier you discover yourself, the better it is for your confidence boost. It's not too late to re-discover what to do with your life, wouldn't you agree with me? Here are some very practical and easy ways to combat this bad syndrome while still "DISCOVERING HIDDEN GEMS WITHIN YOU".

How To Solve The :i have no idea what i'm doing Syndrome

I Have No Idea What I’m Doing With My Life: Discover You!
Stop Thinking Everyone except Yourself Has "MADE IT"

Remember those times your friend bought a new car and thought you should be the first person to know about it?, your college friend whose every picture features bundles of dollars Or the one time your closest pal at work got married and you only saw "pretty instagram photos online"? The feelings that came after these moments made you feel like a complete failure.

If you work at a job, you wouldn't be new to this kind of feeling. You constantly feel every one(that person who is so great at running meetings, a colleague of yours who brings up new interesting ideas and that co-worker who is always successful with landing big clients) except yourself got everything settled.

But wait... I understand that sometimes you might feel like everyone is a lot better at what they currently do than you are. But the sad truth is that THEY'RE NOT! Yes, that is right. Get that into your thick head.

Nurturing such thoughts is not only bad but disastrous too. Thinking that all of your friends, a family member or colleagues have their whole life figured out isn't an easy feeling to contend with. Comparing yourself to others and worrying that you don't measure up on a frequent basis will only hold you back at work and hit at your self confidence level.

So try this: The next time you notice yourself thinking out loud why everyone around you seems to perform excellently at tasks except you, just ask yourself, " How is this making my life better?" Then look for a positive thought, one that puts your worried mind at rest. That new thought could be something along the lines of "I don't need to compare myself with anyone ever again" or "With more dedication and hard work, I will become better". Whatever thing you think; avoid negativity and stay with positivity.

Stop Believing You Have to Have Everything Figured Out

Many a time when I begin brainstorming ideas or topics to write on, I usually find it really hard to settle on a specific topic. But then I don't allow this to discourage me; I go ahead and write. As soon as I start, words begin to form sentences and sentences begin to project the initial ideas. I may not hit the "BULL'S EYE" every time, but I trust that I am on the right path, and this belief always takes me somewhere. And here's the thing-it's not true that knowing what you're doing all the time is better than not knowing.

Starting a website, trying out new things, taking on a scary career, switching careers, leading a team, accepting responsibilities, starting a new job, and taking leaps of faith requires some amount of uncertainty to say "YES".

To learn and grow, you will need to be willing to figure things out as you go and face new challenges with curiosity. This is the only way to create real value.

So, before you say," I have no idea what I'm doing with my life", take a deep breathe, smile and ask yourself, "If I didn't have to have all the answers, what would I do next?" And then act accordingly.

I Have No Idea What I’m Doing With My Life: Discover You!

Worrying that others will label you as the weak link, discover you're a fraud or your parents will call will have to give you some lessons you seem not to have learnt will have you running around like a dog chasing its tail while second-guessing every move, doing your work simply in an effort to tick off boxes and please everyone else. And that evidently is one of the worst ways to spend your time.

So, the next time the fear of being found out surface again, ask yourself this: What would I do now if I was at my best? Because when you're at you best, it simply means you have enough believe in yourself to take the next line of action knowing you're already good enough to take it.

Thinking "I have no idea what I'm doing" is rarely true, or at least, does not matter. It's FINE if you don't have everything figured out- it's most unlikely that even the best counsellor has all the answers you're seeking for. What people say or think doesn't mean anything. You must exercise a high degree of confidence when doing something for the first time. It doesn't matter if you make mistakes or not, your ability to exhibit faith in yourself, hold your convictions dear and learning from past mistakes will build you into a successful individual.

Therefore, give every opportunity your best shot, gather experience form learning, and then take your next decision based on awareness and knowledge.

Doing your best is what matters. If you can do that, you'll stop fretting about not knowing what you're doing.

Destinies are not meant to wait for, they are meant to come to live through your actions. It is wrong to just sit down and expect THINGS TO WORK OUT-How will they? It is true that Life is full of ups and downs, but it is your responsibility to navigate through the storms of life to create your path.

Quit waiting or complaining and take hold of your life. An easy way to get out of your current problem is to ask, "What is the exact problem?" and then create a solution through another question: "How do I get rid of this?"

This is the first step to quit trusting without making moves to identify what you're going to do with your life.

Skip the train of "Faking it Until You Make It" Gang

It's never enough to live your life based on what people think you are. Don't join the mass number of "SOCIAL MEDIA BIG BOYS" who do nothing than post pictures of expensive wears, clothes, cars or houses.

Instead, stay true to yourself always. Admit it when you need help or are wrong and your life will be a whole lot easier.

I Have No Idea What I’m Doing With My Life: Discover You!

I often hear people say things like: I wish I had a better opportunity, my dad did not provide support, My friends caused it etc.....but the truth remains, there is really no excuse whatsoever. In fact, there is no such thing as the perfect opportunity and you must make use of every resource around you to receive direction for your life.

Avoid Saying Things Like "I'm focused On Creating Myself, Not Finding Myself"

Countless humans across the globe are so focused on "finding themselves" as though some important piece of who they are is going to show up after they hit some great life milestone. I don't believe you are lost, I see you as a work in progress. Like raw clay prepared to be moulded into a fine shape.

Accept that transition Happens to Everyone

Transition happens to everyone. However, you must never fail to move forward each time you discover something amazing about your life. You must give room to discover where you want your life to go.

These are steps to figure out your problem of i have no idea what i'm doing. Hope this post helped you figure out what to do each moment- The moment is yours!
