" I Don't Want Presents for My Birthday" : Rachel Beckwith.

Rachel Beckwith pledged not to recieve any gift on her 9th birthday. She wanted to raise $ 300 by her ninth birthday and donate it to African villagers so that they could get clean drinking water.

But her wish was not fulfilled as she died in a multi car crash before her 9th birthday. Her thinking inspired many newspapers to pick up her story and ultimately people donated $1.2 million.

And this money made its way to Ethiopia changing the lives of people there.

   Great thoughts never die.
