I'd Wear That

A denim skirt is a modern and cool wardrobe essential that always seems to be in style. Because it's made of denim, it may seem to be a little casual but just like jeans, it can be easily dressed up or down. If you want a look that is more polished, consider a a knee or midi length skirt like the one above. The button front detail adds visual interest while offering an option on how much leg you want to show.

While it may not be the most obvious choice, a denim shirt is such an effortless way to top off a denim skirt because a Canadian tuxedo can actually be quite chic if it is properly executed. Denim-on-denim outfits actually look best when mixing light and dark washes. The elegant accessories from the sunglasses to the bracelet to the bag chosen to go with this look elevate the denim combo with a touch of sophistication. It doesn't escape me that this outfit is very similar to some of the pieces I chose in my last wish list post and it can be very easily recreated with this Frame Denim Midi Skirt, J. Crew Chambray Shirt, and Chloé Mini C Bag. The choice of footwear can transform an outfit like this as well. Tennis shoes or sandals create a more laidback vibe while a pair of heels or ankle boots convey a sense of polish.
