I just can’t watch anymore of it. The crying, the doping scandals, the time difference, the disappointments. It’s a lot like a typical girl’s night out. Why is it not fun to watch this year? Is it because of Covid? Russia? Ice Skating in general?
Maybe I’m just jaded. Past Olympics have been fun, heartwarming, inspirational even. I just watched Shaun White cry because he knows it’s over and he has to move on and let the youngsters take the sport over. And what the hell is up with Alexa and Brandon getting sued over a song used in their ice-skating performance? Didn’t someone check that out beforehand?
Then you have the Jamaican bobsled team trying to revive their Glory Days. Russia still dealing with the doping thing, and we have to call them ROC instead of Russia. Sweet Baby Jesus. And the whole Kamila Valieva drama. She’s only 15 and just found out her country doesn’t have her back.
So, I just can’t. Had to stop watching. But I’m really into the Netflix series, “Inventing Anna Delvey”. Highly recommend! Based on a true story. This chick is like 25 and fools all of New York Society into thinking she’s a German Heiress. I don’t want to spoil it for you if you haven’t seen it. Go watch it and let’s talk about it!
