I Am Watertown.

By Kmitrix @kmitrix
I am Watertown.

The street of my childhood home was turned into a war-zone last night.
I celebrated countless birthdays and Christmases there. I turned out of that street to go away to college. I had my first kiss at the end of my first date with my husband in front of that house.
My hometown will be haunted by these events. That’s where I graduated high school. Where I rode my bike and played softball and walked my dogs and made friends. I worked at both malls. I drove around with friends with windows down singing on muggy summer nights.
I’m sad and angry and tired. I’m full of pride for my town and I pray for recovery and peace for all who live there and are from there.
