In 1678 the Dutch physicist Christian Huygens wrote a treatise on the wave theory of light. This is now known as Huygens Principle.
Walter Lewin is a Dutch astrophysicist and professor emeritus of physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In this lecture he explains how to pronounce the name Huygens correctly.
