Melbourne-based indie-rocker duo, Husky, are back and finally set to release their much anticipated sophomore album, Ruckers Hill, on June 2nd via Nevado Music. With the exciting news of their album release, they’ve also shared their stunning new track “Ruckers Hill.” According to frontman Husky Gawenda, the album and title track were named after a hill he used to frequently visit and used as a city lookout. The song is undoubtedly a manifesto of Gawenda’s past, from the moment the song starts to play there is a beautiful reminiscent tone, echoed by rich harmonies and tranquil chord progressions. Mid-way through, the unruffled track builds and it’s equalized by quick drums, percussions, and an upbeat tempo that creates a sense of hope for what the future might bring. The change of pace throughout the song beautifully captures the reflective look between yearning and anticipating. Feast your ears on Husky’s captivating title track above.
