Huawei Unveils Giant 6.1-inch Smartphone at CES 2013

Just like every year, Chinese mobile giant Huawei came to CES 2013 with many surprises. After introducing the “world’s fastest quad-core smartphone” last year,  Huawei came to CES this year with another giant, Ascend Mate, “the smartphone with the world’s largest screen”.

To take part in the phablet world, Huawei comes to the market with new Ascend Mate to challenge and take over the top position from Samsung Galaxy Note 2. According to the company, slim and stylish Ascend Mate can run up to two-days with a single charge and it also has the fastest battery charging capability of phablets available today. Huge 6.1-inch screen makes it look more like a tablet.

Huawei Ascend Mate specs -:

  • Display - 6.1-inch HD IPS+ LCD screen with 1280 x 720 resolution
  • Processor - 1.5 GHz Hi-Silicon quad-core processor
  • RAM - 2GB of RAM
  • Thickness - 6.5mm
  • Camera - 8-megapixel rear-camera with 1-megapixel HD front-camera
  • Battery - 4050 mAh battery
  • Operating System - Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
