In the good old days, Clint Eastwood had to use a giant metal plate to save himself from getting killed. But, now things are different. You just need a smartphone to save your life. The latest life saving smartphone story comes from a Florida gas station where one of its’ employees got shot by a robber. Luckily the bullet was blocked by this man’s HTC EVO 3D smartphone.
The 12mm thick smartphone seemed to have suffered a massive blow. Yet somehow it has managed to save this man’s life. With the news spreading all over the Internet, HTC has stepped up to show their support by gifting a brand new HTC One to this gas station clerk who has just lost his smartphone.
