A very observant reader of this blog pointed out to me that I rarely style outfits with white shoes. She's right, I don't. White isn't a shoe color I gravitate towards and, personally, I'd sooner grab a a nude pair, instead. However, this is merely my opinion. Fashion, being as subjective as it is, is rarely that cut and dried. When it comes to white shoes they're not right or wrong, ugly or attractive, or stylish or unstylish.
Yet, despite my personal feelings, here are my tips on how to wear white shoes because, after it all, it is after Memorial Day and you can now wear them without getting into trouble. I'm just kidding...you know I think that rule is silly. In the outfits below, I chose white shoe styles that I like, like wedges and strappy sandals. White pumps, on the other hand. No way, no how will you find me creating an outfit using those. I don't care how subjective fashion is, I just don't think woman should wear them. Don't agree? How to Wear White Shoes this Summer
Outfit #1- White Wedges I actually don't mind white wedges. Something about the chunkier summer style makes them work. I can't put my finger on why I find this acceptable, I just do. Here I like

I love my Birkenstock Gizeh sandals. While I don't own a pair in white, I think they are quite cute. Here, I styled this white pair with cropped boyfriend jeans from J. Crew, a Lucky Brand printed top, coral vegan tote from Nordstrom and blue drop earrings from Alexis Bittar.

Outfit #4 Even if I were to wear an all white outfit I'd probably go with a pair of shoes in nude. However, if you want to wear white it certainly is an option. Maybe you received an invitation to P. Diddy's White Party? I don't know how you roll. If you want to go head-to-toe white, a pair of strappy dressy heels, like this pair from Lauren Ralph Lauren, looks stunning with this white dress from Reiss that has been further accessorized with a clutch from BCBG and ear jackets from Bauble Bar.
Outfit #5 While I tend to like my white shoes to be strappier, I like the laser cut-outs in this flat slingback pair from Modcloth. If you are going to go with a style like this, the cut-outs breaks up the white.
