(House of Holland Fall 2013 and Stella McCartney Fall 2013 via Style.Com)
I know you've probably read fifty blog posts titled "Fifty Shades of Gray" by now (seriously ladies lets try a little harder...) and you know that it's the hot color for fall. After all, gray dominated the fall runways with everyone from Giambattista Valli and Stella McCartney to Roksanda Ilincic and House of Holland offering it up. So, you really don't need me telling you that gray is chic but, um, it is and I couldn't be more excited about it.I know, I know, gray reminds you of your middle school's uniform gym shorts. Oops, did I just give away my secret private school background?
But listen as a pale, blue-eyed blond gray always looks great on me so of course I'm super excited to have it dressed up for fall. As much as I hate when summer ends, this is one fashion trend I can't wait to jump on!
As a generally casual girl, I'd keep it comfortable but fun with a pullover, red jeans and sky high heels.

I'm usually always freezing (shocker right?) so I'm planning on layering different shades of gray (ha! I had to fit it in somewhere) like this light wash pull over under a dark charcoal jacket. Admittedly, the Cedric Charlier piece is a bit of an investment but thanks to the classic moto shape and rose gold hardware it's a jacket I could wear for at least the next ten years. I'll add a pop of color with red skinny jeans and finish off the look with neutral heels like these dreamy (but sold out) Alexander McQueen pumps.
Viola!
My cooler weather uniform.
