How To Use Your Blog To Your Best Advantage

Posted on the 24 May 2016 by Dfennell @BloggerGo

When you spend time blogging for your business you want to ensure that you aren’t wasting your time with blog posts that are never getting noticed. You want to make sure that your blog posts are getting found, read, shared, and used to make decisions on whether or not the reader will be doing business with you.

While having a good layout, and an easy to read look (like this blog), are important, so is content and other visuals. Include pictures with your post every chance you get.

So how can you make sure you are getting the most out of your business blog? Follow these tips and it will definitely make a difference.

Post Stuff People Want To Read

The first step in ensuring that you have a readable and interesting blog that people will want to keep coming back to, and share with others, is to make sure that you are actually posting things that people want to read. That means you need to know your clients and customers so you can determine what they want to know about. Use social media to put out feelers if you need to.

Post Regularly

Posting regularly seems like such a general term, and it really is. What works for one business blog, like monthly posts, may not work for another, and may be too little to keep people coming back fro more. Try at least a once a week post and then go from there depending on the reactions you seem to get from your posts.

Share Interesting Info

Don’t just throw together random blog posts. Take the time to actually do some research on what you are writing about. This will help solidify your expertise in your particular field. Also, if you are using statistics and info from other sites and sources, make sure you include links back to them where people can get even more info on the subject at hand.

Use Calls To Action In Each Post

Your final act of creating the perfectly interesting blog post is to always make sure that you are including a call to action at the end of the post. This is basically a means of telling your readers what they should do next. If you talked about a particular product you may want to point them to the page to purchase said product. Or, if you told them a list of things to do, then you may want to tell them to feel free to contact you for more information or list items.

Your blog can be something that attracts new clients and makes your sales go up, you just need to make sure that you are making the most out of your blogging experience in order to attract those buyers.
