However, in this tutorial, we are going to show you how you can share your Google Analytics stats with others.
When Do You Need To Share Your Google Analytics Data?
In most cases, bloggers are offering sponsored posts as a part of their monetization methods. So, if you are a blogger and receiving a ton of traffic on your blog, you might want to show your client how much page views, users you got.
The simple way to do this is, exporting your GA reports, sending it to the client.
Another example we have for you is, some advertisers like Ezoic are accepting only blogs with a minimum of 10K page views. For showing them how much page views you are getting, you might want to share your Google Analytics stats. While you use WordPress as the CMS (Content Management System), everything will be pretty simple!
While we talk about Google Analytics integration with WordPress, we will always recommend the freemium plugin called MonsterInsights. And we will be using it for this purpose.
MonsterInsights
MonsterInsights is a freemium WordPress plugin for integrating Google Analytics with the CMS. The plugin is created by Awesome Motive, the same company that created OptinMonster, SeedProd, WPForms, etc.
For using the basic features like the Google Analytics dashboard, the free version plugin is good enough. The free version plugin is called MonsterInsights Lite and it is available on the WordPress plugins repository.
You can see that more than 2 million WordPress sites are using the free version plugin. For more advanced features, you might want to purchase their premium version.
It comes with so many unique features like event tracking, universal tracking, eCommerce tracking, forms tracking, Facebook instant articles tracking, file download tracking, affiliate link tracking, etc.

How To Share Your Google Analytics Stats
First, you will need to purchase the premium version of MonsterInsights. You can get the PDF Export feature even in the Plus plan. So, purchase any plan according to your use. If you just need the basic features, we recommend the Plus plan. On the other hand, the Pro and Agency plan comes with more features.
Once you have purchased the premium plugin, log in to your MonsterInsights account, download the premium plugin files. After that, log in to your WordPress site, install and activate the MonsterInsights premium plugin there.
For completing the activation, you need to enter your license key there. You can find the license key from your MonsterInsights dashboard.
After authenticating the Google Analytics property with MonsterInsights, you are good to go. The premium plan comes with a feature called Email Summaries. Go to the Advanced Settings and you can see the Email Summaries configuration there.
Enter the email address you need to get the reports and add them. After successfully adding the email address, MonsterInsights will send you reports every week containing important stats. You will be able to add up to five email addresses in the field.
On top of that, you will be able to customize your header and footer of the report.
While you are working with a client and need to send them the weekly performance reports, this is the best option for you.
Well, if you need to use the PDF Export feature, that’s cool, too. When you don’t want to add external email addresses and need to keep a copy of your stats offline, we recommend using the PDF Export feature. Within minutes, you will be able to generate a PDF file containing all the stats.
Just go to the Insights section and choose the report you need to export. As of now, the premium version will support reports like
- Overview.
- Publishers.
- Search Console.
- eCommerce.
- Forms.
Etc.
For this tutorial, we will be showing you how to export the Overview report. So, go to the section and you will see a button called Export PDF Report.
Just click on the button for exporting the report as a PDF file. You can also select a custom date range from the page.
A PDF file will be downloaded to your system. And you can share the data with a third-party without giving them access to your Google Analytics account.
