Steps :
1. Take a firm ripe pineapple. Peel it and remove the thorns on it. Wash it 2-3 times with clean water. Cut it into thick round slices or you can diced them up.
2. In a pressure cooker take water and sugar in the ratio of 2:1 and add 1/8 tsp of citric acid. You can adjust the sugar if pineapple is too sweet.3. Cook it, stirring continuously till sugar melts. Our sugar syrup is done.

4. Add pineapple roundels or pieces to the sugar syrup as shown below.5. Cook over high flame for one whistle and then on a lower flame for 4-5 more minutes.
6. Let cool, put it in a air-tight container or a dry glass jar. Store it in a refrigerator for about a month.Handy notes:
