  • Turmeric/Curcuma longa
  • White turmeric
  • Rose Petals
  • Champak
  • Muthakach khus
  • Indian sarsaparilla
  • Cinnamon
  • Marikolunthu/sagewort
  • Marjoram
  • Flagroot/sweet cane
  • Black stone flower
  • Chinnoti Red Bay Leaf

To make the Powder:

  1. Sun-dry all the ingredients well for 2 or 3 hours till they became completely moisture free and crisp.
  2. Take the ingredients to the nearby grinding mill and powder them. (But make sure it is grounded in a grinder only for flour, since spiciness can irritate the skin)
  3. To retain freshness keep the powder in airtight containers once it is powdered.

  • Make a paste of nalangu maavu with water. But if you have dry skin you can add curd or milk fat for better results. For normal skin water or curd or honey can be added.
