How to Get Whiter Teeth

How to get Whiter Teeth
I have used various whitening products in the past, including whitening strips, various toothpastes and different kinds of toothbrushes. Whitening strips work great but always leave my teeth so sensitive. So a few years ago I stopped using the strips and was on the hunt to find other products that would help whiten my teeth and keep them healthy. I get a lot of compliments on how white my teeth are so I decided I would share my "teeth whitening" routine with you all!

Now my routine is really nothing special. But I think the major thing that helps keep them white is this Phillips Sonicare Electric toothbrush. Honestly, after the first couple days of using this toothbrush I noticed a difference. Crazy I know, but true. This toothbrush was expensive (about $80) but it was highly recommend (by dentists) I purchase one since I have very sensitive gums. I bought the one for sensitive teeth. I really like the brush head, which is smaller than a regular toothbrush but it works great. You have to change the brush head every 3-4 months (like a regular tooth brush).

The only downfall of this particular toothbrush is that it takes 30 hours to fully charge. You can keep it plugged in when your not using it but I usually just plug it in every now and then. Plugging it in overnight works too!

I brush my teeth twice a day (morning and after dinner/at night) and floss once a day. It's super important to floss so that you don't get any plaque build up. Gross I know but so true. I am not a dentist but I would imagine having plaque on your teeth effects the color or at least makes them look less white then what they could be. So definitely floss!

As for toothpaste, I usually purchase Crest Cavity Protection. The only reason I buy this one is because it is the cheapest and I like the taste. There are many "whitening" toothpastes out there as well which help but sometimes I find those toothpastes leave my teeth a bit sensitive so I usually just stick with what I know works!
