I was recently asked if I wanted to recreate the collaboration between nANA jUDY and Sebastian Professional (Heart Denim A/W 2013) rocker curl hair style. I am not one to refuse, I love curling my hair! The feeling of having big voluminous hair is awesome. Let me tell you a bit about my hair, it is naturally very straight and lacks volume. Sometimes even curling my hair, it is still quite flat. This is where Sebastian Professional products helped, gave me that extra boost I needed! Here are some photos of the finished look. Sometimes I forget how long my hair is. In another few months, my hair will be able to reach my bum.
Don’t mind my grumpy face, I don’t like smiling in photos. It makes my eyes look squinty.
How to get this look:
- Wash and towel dry your hair. This look is all about volume and curls. We start off by spraying a generous amount of Volupt Spray to the roots.
- To give it that extra oomph, add a combination of the Mousse Forte and Thickefy Foam to the remaining parts of your hair
- Spray some heat protection onto your hair (I used TRESemmé Heat Tamer Protective Spray) and blow dry your hair.
- Start by dividing your hair into 2 manageable sections.
- Using a curling wand. Wrap hair around the curling wand (hold for about 15-20secs).
- When you are about to release the wrapped hair, gently remove the wand but continue holding onto the freshly curled hair for around 10sec. I find that if you hold onto it for a little longer, the curls turn out better
- Continue curling the rest of your hair until your entire head is completed.
- Once you have finished curling, run your fingers through your curls.
- Spray your curls with Shaper Zero Gravity for extra hold.

Babyliss Pro (Porcelain Conical Wand 32-19mm Pink) – I purchased this from BeautyBay for around $25. It was quite a bargain, I’ve seen it here for more than double that price.
So there you go, what do you think?
