Nowadays, before shopping for a laptop, most people want to know how they can end up with a good deal in exchange for a reasonable sum. Nearly every buyer picks a few options and then checks expert reviews posted online. Although this trial-and-error kind of method is reliable to some extent, it may not always help in buying a decent lappy.

Some experts offering laptop installation in Bunbury have come up with a list that you can use to purchase a decent lappy that does not exceed your budget:

screen

  • Dimensions – In case you want a portable device, choose something lightweight with a medium-sized screen, that is, about 12-13 inches. Make sure that its weight does not cross the 1.5 kilogrammes mark. For exclusive home or office use, however, you can settle for a light and slim laptop.
  • Screen – The screen should not be glossy, or else it would reflect light and put strain on your eyes. Pick a device with 1920×1080-pixels resolution if you would be viewing multiple windows at once. Also look for IPS technology, which provides the widest of viewing angles.

keyboard

  • Keyboard – The keyboard has to be convenient, for you never know when you might need a long typing session. See if the keys are laid out comfortably, and whether there is space around the arrow buttons. Make sure they have a snappy responsiveness and are backlit.

cpu

  • CPU – If you will be using your laptop for multimedia tasks and multitasking, you have to go with Intel Core i3, i5 or i7. i3 is good for entry-level systems, whereas i5 is found in most budget computers nowadays. i7, however, has a heating issue, but it is heavy-duty.

ram

  • RAM – The higher the RAM, the more you will be able to multitask. 2GB can be good enough for completing small projects and assignments, but 4GB delivers the best performance.
  • USB 3.0 – The model you decide to buy must have at least two USB 3.0 ports.

hard-disk

  • Storage – Don’t go for a hard drive featuring laptop because they are bulky, slow, noisy and generate heat. Rather pick an SSD-installed (solid state drive) model. Since storage capacity on SSDs are limited and they can be expensive, settle for one with 128GB space.
  • Battery – Look at how large the Watt-hours or milliamp-hours of the battery is. Try not to fall for manufacturer-quoted battery life.

Following these guidelines can definitely help you to buy a value-for-money laptop within your budget.
