How They Report News in Taxachusetts

Posted on the 03 October 2013 by Eowyn @DrEowyn

Yesterday, my wife stepped off her train at the end of the day clutching a Metro newspaper, and laughing in shock. She said, “You won’t believe this article!” When I read it I was so pissed off that I put up the following post to display the utter mendacity of the local press. In my haste, I neglected to see if the story had been addressed already on FOTM. It had, much more thoroughly, by Dr. Eowyn, in her brilliant post, “Mob of black bikers terrorize Asian family in SUV in NYC.” :D

Here we have the way the bike gang story is being told in Massachusetts. So my question is, “Are you going to believe this newspaper story, or are you going to believe your lying eyes?” ~ TD

Lawrence biker paralyzed in New York road rage incident

asshole_bikers

A Lawrence father has been left paralyzed after a road rage incident in New York City.

Edwin Mieses is in a coma, according to his wife Dayana.

Police said the incident began Sunday when the driver of a black Range Rover became surrounded by motorcyclists on the West Side Highway who were on a group ride headed to Times Square in New York. When one of the bikers stopped quickly, he collided with the Range Rover.
The bikers were upset about the incident and confronted the driver. They even attempted to slash his tires, police said.

The driver, 33-year-old Alexian Lian, whose wife and 2-year-old daughter were also in the car, drove his SUV through the group, injuring a group of bikers along the way, including Mieses. The incident was caught on video from a camera installed on one of the bikers’ helmets.

Dayana Mieses said her husband was struck while trying to help one of the injured bikers.

“He went to help someone,” Dayana told WBZ.     (What?!!!)

Mieses was left paralyzed and in a coma, with severe injuries to his heart, lungs and ribs. Lien was later pulled out of his car and beaten. His wife and 2-year-old daughter were passengers in his SUV.

Police do not intend to file any charges in the incident.

A Facebook page has been set up in support of Mieses.

The NYPD is searching for other motorcyclists involved in the incident.

Me again: We watched this gang, including the injured biker, force the family in the SUV to a stop. The biker who was first bumped was deliberately slowing down in front of the family. We’ve seen people forced to a stop and murdered this way in places like Colombia. The man who is supposedly trying to help the injured biker was one of the ones who were scaring the hell out of the family.

Yes, I call for justice, too, and when (if) justice is served, it will not go well for this gang. ~TD
