Alright, here was the game plan. Sea World, no Aquatica. We didn't want to have to deal with swimsuits, lockers and extra clothes.
So this is how we spent an entire day at Sea World with a few hacks along the way.
First off was Journey to Atlantis! This was a big deal for my 9 year olds. The ride is BIG, so they were a bit nervous. But after they were so proud of themselves. If you didn't get drenched enough on the way down, make sure you enjoy the huge splashdown when you exit. Don't worry, you will dry off quickly!
Next, we walked down to the Dolphin Walk, which is new hang out spot for the dolphins while the new Discovery Point is being renovated.
After, we went to ride the Rio Loco. It seems like the lines for the rides surrounding Shamu Stadium get shorter when a Shamu show is about to be on. We got to ride this one twice in a row because there was no wait!
Next was the ski show, HydroPower 2.0 with a Dippin' Dots snack break (big kids rode The Great White).
After we cooled off, we headed to Sea World's newest show, Sea Lion High and then to Pacific Point Preserve to feed the sea lions after.
Then it was time for a picnic break in front of the park. We pack a cooler with items to make sandwiches, fruit, drinks and keep in in the car, which is also why the preferred parking helps!
Lay out your towels or a picnic blanket and just hang out under the trees in the front lawn while you eat.
Back in to the park, we hung out at the Bay of Play and then to Azul - which is the baby Beluga viewing right now.
Then, Journey to Atlantis again(twice because the lines were short) and then final summer Shamu show!
All of this took all of 9 hours on a Sunday summer night!
