Important LED Nail Lamp Info

When it comes time to upgrade your old UV nail lamp to a new LED nail lamp there are a few things that you should be aware of so that you do not get caught out.

Do Your Research

Not all LED nail lamps are created equal, do your research and choose an LED nail lamp that is right for you.

Not all gel polishes are compatible with LED Nail Lamps

While most of the best gel nail polishes will have no problems with an LED light, not all brands will cure properly under an led nail lamp.

This is due to the fact that most LED lamps emit light at a different wavelength to your traditional UV nail lamp. Without getting into all the technical details, what this means is that some gel polishes simply will not cure under man LED nail lamps.

If you are unsure whether your favorite brand of gel polish will work with an LED lamp, you can check on their website to see if its LED compatible or purchase a lamp with "smart lights". These smart lights put out a much wider wavelength of light and should cure most gel polishes.

You can learn more about which nail lamps have smart lights in the comparison table on this page.
