It is so true that one is blessed if we have grandparents as they are the best source of wisdom and love in one's life. I believe that I am one among those blessed people.
I have been fortunate enough to have some really amazing grandparents who are so kind, loving, caring and affectionate. I have so many memories of them, all good and lovely, full of cheer. I am glad that some of the best lessons of my life, I learnt through my grandparents. Also, I am very glad that I made their special days like birthdays memorable and special, whenever I could, with the help of my cousins.
There is one such beautiful days coming up which is dedicated to Grandparents. It is grandparents day. When I was a kid, I remember me and my cousins who were in the same school, had special occasions to celebrate Grandparents Day. On days like these, we used to participate in dancing and compering activities and prepare cards for the grandparents. We also made special invite cards for our grandparents to invite them to our school. During the entire occasion, we had to perform so many interesting activities like dance, singing and funny plays in front of all the grandparents and make their day worthwhile. Later there used to be Ramp walk competition and Singing and Dancing competition for them. They also were given prizes for being the best dressed and it used to be so much fun.
I believe if we need to celebrate Grandparents Day now, the same emotion and idea needs to be followed. It is because there is no better way to make someone feel special than making our presence felt and spending our time with them. It is one of the most priceless things that we can ever gift anyone.
This year, I plan to spend the entire day with my grandparents and get them the best things to eat. I would like to cook with my granny their favorite food and during the lunch time, watch their favorite classic movies with them. We would laugh and talk about how they took care of me during my childhood and in the evening, would go for a walk with them in the park and play games with them.
At night, we would sing old classic songs with them and click selfies and shoot videos to capture these memories forever.
I believe nothing can be more special than this for my grandparents as all they need is our time, love, care, presence and nothing more than that, but very less people understand that, isn't it?
So this Grandparents Day, do not just gift, but #LoveJatao
