One thing I realized while growing up is that growing up comes with responsibilities. You have to juggle between multiple chores to make your day count. Gone are the days of first standard when everything was about doing homework. Now, I’ve to attend college, complete assignments, submit projects and also work. Being a working student is not easy and I’m sure many of you reading are working students as well. We all have a device called smartphone but do we use it smartly? Well, I know I do. How? I’ve a personal assistant who helps me go through my day without any worries. I’m talking about Google Assistant. I use Google Assistant all the time. All I’ve to do is just speak. For example, I need to buy groceries and I don’t have the time to list down what I want. So, all I’ve to say is “Ok Google, please add chicken, tomatoes, parmesan cheese to my shopping list.” It will do the needful and while shopping I just say “Ok Google, show me my shopping list.” Not only groceries, but I use it to manage my assignments, schedule my meetings, people’s birthdays and anniversaries as well. It also helps me to complete my work within my deadline, reminds me of my doctor’s appointment, instructs me to drink water and so on.
Voice enabled devices are a huge rave in the market as they make our lives easier. Be it Siri of your iPhone, Google Assistant of Android devices, Amazon Alexa , Echo, etc. If you have any of these use them to make your life easier. Recently, I saw thatAmazon put together a list of Alexa’s top Skills of 2018 . I am quite intrigued by Alexa’s skills and want to get one for myself as well. It’s like having a personal assistant 24*7. You can even play with it. When I get bored, I say “Ok Google, I’m bored” and she comes with such fun ways to get rid of my boredom. It also plays any song I want to listen, recites poems and give me fun facts. Did you know Google’s name came from the mathematical term Googol which represents a 1 followed by hundred zeros. Well, my voice enabled smartphone gave me this information. It gives me directions when I’m lost, tell me what the weather’s like , send messages on my behalf via any platform and calls whenever I instruct her to call someone. Well, that’s how I use my phone as a voice enabled device.Voice enabled devices are everywhere in the market. Every brand is coming up with them. Not only devices but many companies are developing voice apps to merge with their products and range. Voice App Developer is one such brand that is making some cool voice apps.
