Houses HOUSES PLAYED A SOLD OUT WEBSTER HALL

Los Angeles duo Houses won some new fans Saturday night when they opened for Cold War Kids at Webster Hall. Starting off their set with “Tenderly,” the band immediately grabbed at the hearts of the crowd, not letting go until their set was finished. Dexter Tortoriello’s vocals are particularly impressive live, and the emotion of their recorded music translated extremely well on stage. It’s not often that crowds are captivated by an opening act, but Houses was successfully able to do so.

The band is currently touring the country promoting the release of their forthcoming album, A Quiet Darkness, available this Tuesday. Check out the video for “The Beauty Surrounds” below. It’s one of my favorites so far this year.
