House VS Home

By Atulsharmasharma
We use the terms house and home synonymously. There is a difference between these two and that is:
House VS HomeAny dwelling can be called a house but to call it a home we need to have an emotional aspect connected with it. Thus a house means a place which is just a structure of brick and mortar, it can only be called a home when it is able to provide us a sense of security, comfort and above all you should be able to emotionally connect with it.
Edgar A. Guest said this about a house and a home ( an American poet):
"It takes a heap o livin' in a house to make it home".
There is a saying that goes: A house in which nobody lives is nobody's home.
