House of Cards: Queen Claire

By Mdrcasual @meganrutledge
House of Cards: Queen ClaireI remember frosh year of high school when the celeb-look alike trend began, and everyone secretly flocked to a website that would tell you which actress you matched. I remember reloading the webpage and frantically searching for different profile pictures of myself, hoping that I would magically yield Reese Witherspoon. Nada. Robin Wright-Penn was who I kept getting, and I was pretty heated. Obviously this was pre-House of Cards. Now I can't help but be stoked that this completely illegitimate and virtually non-existent website once assured me that I vaguely resembled my new found idol.
*Disclaimer I am well aware this is not accurate, but I will take what I can get.*
House of Cards was a trend I was slow to jump on, but once I got hooked, one unassuming weeknight with my friend, have never looked back. Mostly, I'm obsessed with Robin Wright's character, Claire Underwood. She, is for lack of better phrasing, one bad@$$- b.
In terms of holding her own against Frank Underwood her husband, she has the Machiavelli of Washington obsessed with her: "I love that woman, I love her more than sharks love blood."
Not to mention, she single-handedly brought back the popped collar. And for that, Queen Claire, we thank you.
