Hourglass * NEW in for Brows and Eyes

Whenever I hear news of a new Hourglass release I get excited because they are a brand not to bombard you with launch after launch (which makes them a lot easier to keep up with) so you just know it is going to be good when they do. In light of them launching the excitable Ghost Collection (all on my wishlist!) it has been a good few months since I tried anything new from them in fact, so when two of their latest innovative products landed on my desk, I obviously had to share them.
These two items are 'new additions' to Hourglass' current collections but products I really am pleased to own and think add a lot to their product catalog.

One newbie is another addition to their brow catalog with Arch Brow Micro-Sculpting Pencil. For me, ever since I used their brow line I was insistent that it was my favorite brow of them all of which I still stand by and this new pencil has made me love the Arch Brow line even more. 

Hourglass has a Brow System (as above) that explains really simply what to use with even an online quiz that will point you in exactly the right direction should you not be great at knowing what will suit you best. I have to say this is super accurate because it suggested to me all of the products that I do use and even the exact shade of what I use too ... so definitely take it here!

We all know that Anastasia Beverley Hills is crazy famous for brows and I really like her products, especially her Brow Wiz because of how fine and hair like it is yet my only grumble was that the 'cheap packaging' lets this product down. I say this because each pencil I have owned has broken. The plastic surrounding the brow groomer end is too thin that it snaps clean off and I have reported this to them so many times to no avail and for a luxury product with a luxury price tag, this just isn't good enough. 
SO ... imagine if Hourglass took the reigns and basically improved upon it? Well, it's like ABH and Hourglass had a baby because they have gone and created a much better version of it, all with #packaginggoals. 
This pencil really is the perfect product for simply adding tiny hair-like strokes into sparse areas of your brows and creating a brow shape that is perfected yet still very natural.

To be be fair my brows don't take much work ever since I had them tattooed (post here) which is still the best thing I ever did, so I just use the micro pencil to add a little definition if needed anywhere once they are near the 'top-up' stage and the Volumnsiing Gel to simply add texture and to keep them nicely in place. Plus the shade Warm Brunette is perfect for my brows. 
This micro-sculpting pencil is definitely my new favorite and the quality of the packaging is just so stylish as feels every bit luxurious, which makes it a good investment every time.

New VS Old
Compared to the original Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil, you can see below the difference in thickness compared to the Micro pencil so it all again just comes down to personal preference as the original is designed to fill in hair for those who have less brows and the micro is designed to define an already prominent brow. You can, of course, use one or use both! 
When I was researching into opinions about the new micro-sculpting pencil, the only gripe I saw that people had was that they found the pencil too waxy so there was little pay off. I personally didn't find this was the case but obviously works differently on different skins so I suggest making sure you apply it to clean dry skin, and not over makeup as this could cause it to slip and make sure you warm it a little on the back of your hand a few times before going in and this should help.

A sure-fire hit for me and a really great addition to the Arch Brow line as they really do have brows covered! 
Next up .... eyes! 
So another 'four' new additions were made to the Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadow collection of which I had actually yet to try so this was a very exciting trial!

These are difficult to capture in their full glory on camera so you'll have to take my word for it and go and try them out! They have this really unique powder/cream/crushed pigment type texture that is unlike anything I have used before and because of this, you get no glittery fall over your face (hurrah!). They are great for any season and occasion because you can tailor-make the effect that you want from them yet are so easy to wear. I obviously know I want more shades!

Great new additions to the already amazing Hourglass catalog I say, don't you agree?
I am now very ready for the exciting Ghost Collection (here!) especially the Ambient Lighting Face and Blush Palettes, Confession lipsticks (addicted) and the Scattered Light Eyeshadows of course in the silver packaging!! It all looks too enticing ..... will you be tempted?
