I last left you with Neemrana, and after having a delicious breakfast outside in the very pleasant warm weather and sunshine we packed our things and trundled off in the car heading for our next destination: Jaipur. Welcome to the Samode Haveli. Here we spent 3 nights and four days happily enjoying the poolside (the pool was freezing cold), shopping and the beautiful Samode Palace which is also managed (coincidentally) by this hotel group. After being shown to our wonderful suite we made a beeline for the beds by the poolside to ease our aching muscles and weary traveled selves. Even though we weren’t actually doing much walking, traveling by car through India is exhausting, just trust me on that one. I promptly set my things up on this sun bed which caught the afternoon sunshine before having a dip in the pool. This was my “dip” into the pool, and it was cold enough to make me realize not to dip anything else in. It is quite unexpected as you drive through the hustle and bustle of the streets of Jaipur.
