Hot Chip’s Single is a Bit ‘dark & Stormy’ [video]

Christmas has come very early here at The Wild Honey Pie, with Hot Chip finding time within their busy schedules to give us their latest single, “Dark & Stormy”. At its core, this track is the same electronic-based, nerd-funk that Hot Chip has always done perfectly. However, unlike their 2012 full length, In Our Heads, this single has a slightly eerier, more monotonous tone. In addition to the catchy “ahh-wooos” and hypnotic repetition on this song, the band will be releasing a full 12″ on July 23rd, featuring a remix of “Look At Where We Are” among other tracks. Although no Hot Chip gigs have been announced for New York on their latest tour routing, we have our fingers tightly crossed. And our toes for that matter.
