With the Holidays quickly approaching there will be parties to attend, left and right. And behind each of these parties is a hard working host or hostess who desperately wants for their guests to have the time of their lives. I wanted this gift basket to have the elements that make a house a home. Things that warm your heart when they're seen. Items that will put a smile on the recipients face whenever they use them. It all started when I found the new American Home™ by Yankee Candle® brand candles at Walmart in the Home section (also near the craft aisles and also available online). Their new fragrances are beautiful and send thoughts of family gatherings, holiday parties, and simpler times rushing to the forefront of the mind. So I grabbed one of their large tumblers in my favorite fragrance- Pumpkin Apple Harvest, and built my gift around that. But I also grabbed a couple smaller fragrance options- Sweet & Salty Caramel and Banana Walnut Bread, because they all smelled so wonderful. The different size options that American Home™ by Yankee Candle® brand candles come in provide a price point for everyone, from as low as $1.43 to the large tumblers like I purchased at $14.93.
I was sure to choose items that could be used as decor or used practically in the home. I found everything at Walmart, which made it probably the easiest gift I've ever put together. I included some beautiful wooden spoons with details on the handles, a chalkboard that I wrote "Home Sweet Home" on, some natural fibered tea towels, a Holiday cactus, some homemade bread wrapped up in brown paper and string, and of course, my American Home™ by Yankee Candle® brand candles. I bundled it all together in this beautiful wire basket and used one of the tea towels to line it.
