Hoppin’ Cretin IPA – Tofino Brewing Company

By Mike @mikescraftbeer

From Tofino Brewing out of Tofino on Vancouver Island comes their "Hoppin' Cretin IPA". The beer pours an golden colour with a white head. The aroma consists of floral hops up front with citrus, grapefruit peel and some caramel malts. The flavour is of fruity citrus large on the front of the beer with some citrus peel, caramel malts and medium bitterness finishing things off. The alcohol content comes in at 7.5%. While I like my IPA's to have huge bitterness this is still a very well made IPA and it is quite balanced.

Commercial Description: INDIA PALE ALE * GOLDEN COLOUR LIGHT, CARAMEL MALT BODY * HEAVILY HOPPED WITH NOTES OF CITRUS, TROPICAL FRUIT & PINE * EXTREMELY DRY FINISH * LOBOTOMY
