Coming in fast with a new track off their upcoming Over Lover EP set for release September 2, HONNE lays on the funk with “Loves the Jobs You Hate” and gives new meaning to their Japanese-inspired name. “Honne” literally translates to “true feelings,” and this British duo continues to blend the complexity of sensual electronic R&B with a lot of synth-heavy soul to give you all the feelings. It’s also hard not to hear a bit early James Blake in this track. After taking on their first UK tour this fall, they’ll make their American debut at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade on November 4 — a show not to be missed!
