Honey Hair Lightening

Posted on the 17 March 2014 by Sagaritah
Honey is my favorite beauty ingredient even in my face packs.I use it daily on my face for hydrated glowing skin.Since honey contains natural hydrogen peroxide one can use this for lightening one's hair.It also moisturizes hair and it is anti-fungal.It is best to use raw honey if possible.
There are several ways one can use it on hair. One can mix it with their favorite conditioner or add a little bit of water and then use.But the best way to use it is to mix it with equal proportion of cinnamon and a tea spoon of virgin olive oil, both of which contains hydrogen peroxide as well. This my favorite way to use it on my hair to bleach it naturally. If I don't want oil then I just skip the oil and add a tea spoon of water.Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes before applying it on your hair and scalp.
Apply it on your scalp and hair and then wrap your hair with a plastic wrap or use a shower cap.Let it sit for 2 hours and then shampoo and conditioner as usual. Not only the mixture will lighten your hair but it will also make your hair soft and shiny. But since this is a 100% natural way of lightening hair,it will take some time to show great results. I may take anywhere between one to ten applications. What ever method you use be sure to dilute the honey with something to make it feel less sticky,so it does not pull or break your hair.I'm simply in love with this hair mask.
