Homemade Toothpaste: Have You Tried It Yet?

By Lindsayleighbentley @lindsayLbentley

My son accidentally broke the jar his homemade toothpaste was in, so I gave him ours until I could make some more.  Out of pure laziness I used an old tube of natural toothpaste.

You guys.  No joke, I can’t stand the way my teeth and mouth feel!

Within 2 days I had sensitivity in a retained baby tooth, bad breath in the morning, red gums, and my teeth just never felt as clean like they do with my homemade stuff.

Since I am pregnant, I will be prone to gum irritations so I can’t wait to whip up some more of my recipe and get my mouth back to normal!

My aunt recently told me that after making my recipe, she has zero sensitivity for the first time in her entire life…and she’s worked for a dentist for over 10 years!

There are a lot of recipes out there and I’ve been really surprised to see some mixing bentonite clay with metal mixer attachments, storing in plastic, adding glycerin, etc!  I did a ton of research and created my recipe based on the best of the ones that I had found out there – it’s pretty awesome.

I hope you will give it a try.  You will never go back!

THE UNEXPECTED PERKS OF HOMEMADE TOOTHPASTE

P.S. It has been gorgeous outside lately.  Everything is blooming.  It’s our first full Spring in Tennessee and I can’t believe how green everything is.  It makes me so excited to think that our children will grow up in such a beautiful part of the country.  We are house-hunting, and hoping to find a place on a few acres where our kids can run wild and barefoot…
