I also got the email from Florida State with my orientation dates so I was nerding out over that all weekend. I am SO enjoying summer, but I'm also pumped to start my graduate program in the fall. I really feel like I chose the right program for me...I get to work while going through the program, which is important to me. I have some fun news to share about a few new jobs (yes, plural...are you surprised) that I'll also be starting August. That'll be for another post, though!
Today's post:
I've always wanted to make my own salad dressing, because the pre-made ones are usually full of so much unnecessary junk. I, by no means, live a totally clean lifestyle but I do try to avoid unnecessary chemicals/preservatives where I can.
My friend (and client), Hannah, shared this dressing recipe and y'all. WHAT HAVE I BEEN MISSING OUT ON. I've eaten this stuff every day for a week. No joke. It's SO delicious and SO simple to make.
What You Need:
- 1/3 cup non fat, plain Greek yogurt
- Drizzle of honey (I use 8ish grams of raw, local honey)
- Juice from 1/4 of a lime
- Sprinkle of pink sea salt
- Sprinkle of black pepper
- Cilantro to taste
You literally just mix everything together into a bowl and stir until everything is combined. So easy and so delish. Perfect for summer salads!
This makes one serving for me. I usually eat a giant salad for lunch every day and I like a lot of dressing. But you could probably stretch this and use it for 2 salads if you like light dressing. I haven't made it ahead of time and stored it yet. I've only made it right before I'm about to eat it.
Anyway, let me know if you make this...you HAVE to! And if you have any other simple, homemade dressing recipes send them my way!
xo, Jess
