Let’s have a look at some of the highly effective and easy homemade feet brightening recipes. Some use the terms ” feet lightening” and “feet whitening” but all of these terms means the same.
1. Baking Soda
Baking soda is a natural fungus remover. It is highly recommended when you want to scrub off the dead dry skin from your feet.
What do you need :
Baking soda
Warm water
How to make
Make a solution of 3 tablespoons of baking soda into warm water
Dip your legs into the solution and let it rest for some time say 15 minutes
Use a pumice stone or any other foot scrubbing brush gently to scrub off the feet, toe and the sole area too
2. Orange Peel
Remember the orange peel recipe I shared last time. Well, it will work here also. Give your feet the luxury of orange peel powder. It will make the feet soft and tan free.
What do you need :
Orange peel powder
A cup of milk
How to make
Mix orange peel powder with milk
Apply the mixture on your feet and let it dry on it’s own
Once it has dried off, use your hands to lightly scrub off the powder
You can also use lemon slice to scrub off
3.Honey
If dry skin on feet is your major concern then this will help you. Use honey to make your feet soft and moisturize it. Honey over some time will also help to brighten your skin too.
What do you need
5-6 drops of honey
How to make
Apply honey all over your feet
Leave it for half an hour
Now, wash with warm water
4. Tomato
Tomato is a natural bleach which helps to give your feet a fairer look. It also restores the pH balance of your skin and thus helps in adding moisture and life back to your feet. This is one of the effective ways to bleach your leg/feet at home.
What do you need :
5-6 tomato slices
How to make
Rub tomato slices all over your feet
Let it rest for some time
Wash away your feet with cold water.
5. Vinegar and Salt
Vinegar is a good whitening agent while salt helps to exfoliate the skin.
What do you need
1 tbsp of rock salt
Half tbsp of vinegar
Soft bristled brush
How to make
Combine salt and vinegar
Let your feet rest in this solution for some time
Use the soft bristled brush to lightly scrub off your feet
6.Rice Flour
Do you know rice flour acts as a natural sunscreen?
It also contains para aminobenzoic acid.
What do you need
Uncooked rice powder
Half cup of milk
How to make
Firstly make a powder out of uncooked rice
Dilute the same with milk
Apply the same on your feet and let it rest for half an hour
Gently scrub off the mixture with warm water
7. Egg White
Egg white is known to maintain the elasticity of your skin and also improves the complexion.
What do you need :
1 egg
Half tbsp of olive oil
Half lime juice
How to make
Beat all the above ingredients together and let it sit for 30 mins
Wash away your feet with cold water
8.Pumpkin
Pumpkin is known to give bright and fresh skin instantly. This is a perfect party add up.
What do you need :
Pumpkin slice
Egg yolk
Half cup of milk
How to make
Mix all the above ingredients together and apply on your feet
Let it sit on your feet for approximately 30 minutes
Wash away your feet with cold water
9. Alum
Alum has bleaching properties which are known to lighten your skin over time.
What do you need :
4-5 alum crystals
Some drops of honey
How to make
Mix the above ingredients together
Apply on your legs, let it sit for some time
Wash away your legs with water
10. Mushroom
Mushroom contains Vitamin D which helps with sunburn and it also contains kojic acid which is an excellent skin lightener.
What do you need :
Half cup of sesame oil
5-6 mushrooms
How to make
Take some mushrooms and dip them in a bowl of oil
Apply the dipped mushrooms over your feet
Let it rest for some time
Wash away your feet with warm water
