Koch Media has acquired the Homefront IP from Crytek as well as the transfer of its Crytek UK employees to Deep Silver’s new Nottingham studio.
The Homefront brand and all coherent assets from Crytek, including Homefront: The Revolution, will now be developed in the newly-founded Nottingham-based Deep Silver Dambuster Studios.
Cyrtek has confirmed it had been in discussions with Koch Media regarding the acquisition of rights for the Homefront IP, as well as the transfer of the Homefront team from Crytek’s Nottingham studio to Koch Media “in compliance with English law.”
“[They] will continue their hard work on upcoming shooter Homefront: The Revolution,” said the Crytek statement. “Both parties hope to finalize and implement a deal soon.”
“We are thrilled to see another great IP joining the Deep Silver universe,” says Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Koch Media Group. “We strongly believe in the potential of Homefront: The Revolution and trust in the new team to continue the path they have been walking in the last years.”
