HOLYCHILD wowed the crowd at the Triple Rock Social Club in Minneapolis on Saturday with their unique brat pop tunes, colorful outfits and wonderful dance moves. Taking a break from their ongoing tour with Passion Pit, HOLYCHILD played an intimate and energetic set, including songs from 2014’s MINDSPEAK EP and many new tracks from their debut album, The Shape of Brat Pop to Come, dropping June 2.  Lead singer Liz Nistico entranced the crowd with her continuous smile and infectious energy.  Kicking off her tall platforms halfway through the set, she made her way off stage, snaking through the crowd, hugging and serenading the excited fans. With the rest of her band keeping the excitable beats alive on stage, she continued to croon while twisting around on the floor amidst the crowd.  The night concluded with an encore of three songs, including a stellar cover of No Doubt’s “Just A Girl” and two more new tracks from the anticipated album.  The entire band’s high voltage energy got even the quietest of Minnesotans in the crowd dancing, a Midwestern miracle in its own right. June 2 cannot come soon enough.
