Hogarths Hotel with Gemma + Richard
Hogarths Hotel in Solihull was the chosen wedding venue for Gemma and Richard. I met these guys a few years ago when their wedding was originally planned for 2015, unfortunately they had to move it back due to unforeseen circumstances to 2016. This was not a problem though as I was free on the second date. My first time capturing a wedding at this beautiful wedding venue which boasts 27 acres and good transport links to Birmingham airport. They were both having their wedding preparations at the hotel which made it very easy for me to capture them. I just bounce from one room to the other, it’s all very easy when wedding days are setup like this. The lads were in fine spirits and the ladies, super calm.
Outdoor Wedding Ceremony at Hogarths Hotel.
They decided to hold their wedding ceremony outside which is to the bottom of the garden. The long walk down the path gives perfect opportunity to capture those all important wedding photos. Although the weather was cold being March, Gemma was more than happy to brave the elements. The ceremony building had heated lamps. Once they had exchanged their wedding rings we moved into the woods for their wedding portraits. The hotel has a modern function room were their wedding guests were relaxing before the wedding breakfast was due to start. After the guests had eaten it was time for the speeches. The interior of Hogarths hotel was lovely with lighting all the way around helping to give an almost, Christmas like feel to the wedding photos. There were three speeches in total and remember them being very entertaining. Once the wedding breakfast had finished the staff quickly turned the room around for the evening celebrations. The evening guests were starting to arrive just in time to see their first dance. I really enjoyed their wedding and spending time with them.
