Story: Hit Man starts when Professor Gary Johnson (Powell) gets an unexpected promotion in the police department. He goes from the man in the van to pretending to be a hitman for hire. It leads to him getting a new vest for life and enjoying the portrayal of different hitmen.

Gary starts collecting victims and shutting down endless numbers of people who want to take down people. However, his latest target Madison (Arjona) leads him down a different path and the legal system starts challenging his methods.

Verdict on Hit Man

Hit Man is an action romantic comedy following an undercover hitman who gets involved with one of the suspects. However, he falls in love, but the case takes a difficult turn when her husband tries to arrange her hit through him.

This movie blends the unlikely meeting between two people and the shady world of assassins. Glen Powell and Adria Arjona have great chemistry and Glen Powell is great to watch through his different personas. The story is fun, even if it can linger in place too often. In traditions of many romantic comedies, it pushes people outside of their comfort zone and gives a wacky story of how they got together.
