The five troubadours that make up Toronto quintet HIGHS are making some seriously addictive, surf-folk inspired pop music. Since releasing their debut self-titled EP just over a month ago, blog aficionados are ranting and raving about this group, and for good reason. HIGHS‘ music is a collection of summery sounds including well-crafted guitar licks, an array of heavenly vocal harmonies and just-complex-enough percussion. Admitting that their sound is much like a collaboration between Vampire Weekend and Paul Simon, it’s clear that their whole EP is full of feel good sounds.

Their single “Summer Dress”, though, is the stand out track.
