From the brand new Yellow Dog Brewing Company in Port Moody BC comes their "High Five hazy IPA". The beer pours a cloudy orange colour with a white head. The aroma consists of citrus, citrus rind and floral hops. The flavour is of citrus, citrus rind, tropical fruit, melon, malts, resin with a good bitterness. This one is not as juicy as most of the North East IPA style but it has the body. The alcohol content comes in at 6.8% with an IBU of 50. I love the explosion of the East Coast IPA on the West Coast as it has breathed new life into the IPA in British Columbia. This beer while not as juicy as I am used to it is a great beer and full of flavour.
