Pedestrians and motorists brave the flood on España Blvd. in Manila on June 13, 2013. Just like in Cebu and other areas in Luzon and the Visayas, heavy rains also lashed Metro Manila, prompting the suspension of classes as floods reached knee level in some areas. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said the rains were induced by the strong southwest monsoon.
