Hefeweizen – Twin Sails Brewing

By Mike @mikescraftbeer

From Twin Sails Brewing in Port Moody comes their "Hefeweizen". The beer pours a cloudy straw yellow colour with a white head. The aroma consists of bubble gum, banana, wheat, yeast and an overall sweetness. The flavour is of banana, wheat, biscuit, bubble gum and citrus. The alcohol content comes in at 4.8% with an IBU of 12. If you are looking for a tasty hot weather beer for this summer this would be a good option.

Commercial Description: A Bavarian-style wheat beer brewed with 100% German barley & wheat malts. Medium bodied with a pleasant effervescence, our Hefeweizen has subtle notes of fruit and a moderate spiciness from both the Bavarian yeast and Hallertau hops. Colder fermentation temperatures make for more approachable and subtle flavours, making Twin Sails Hefeweizen both refreshing and drinkable.
